Work, Earn, Ball & Repeat

  • June 29, 2021

For some people, financial struggles are due to not having enough income. For many others, though, the problem comes from not spending money wisely or from spending more money than they make.

If your financial struggles include spending money, I’m here to give you some tips on how to do it on a budget; after all, you’ve worked so hard, and the last thing you want is for all that hard-earned money to disappear.

Make a List

Leaving the house has become more expensive; step out for 10 minutes, and the next thing N25,000 is gone. It’s time to sharp up! Anytime you’re leaving the house, especially to the store, make a list of what you want to buy and have a mental budget of what you want to spend.

Pro Tip: You can also create your budget directly on your VBank App.

Split The Bill

Going out with friends? Save some money by splitting the bill. If you don’t want to do the extra wait at the end of a good time out, you and your friends can send money to a joint account before going out, so only one person pays.

Did you know you can open a Joint Account with your friends through the VBank App? You can also use this account to save for your “Flex Dates”.

Pick Your Poison

You can afford anything but not everything, so choose ONE thing you want to splurge on any day or weekend, and just do it.

Remember the journey starts with owning a Vbank account. If you don’t have one, start here.

Now that we’re all caught up, it’s time to enjoy!
