When you register and use the V by VFD mobile banking application, we may request that you us permission to collect your device location information. Once granted, we will use this information to carryout your address verification as required by the CBN (Central Bank of Nigeria) with the purpose of granting you full access to your account.
You can revoke this permission at any time by removing the permission from your device setting.
When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data (“Usage Data”).
VFD Microfinance Bank will process your data on a lawful basis which fall under at least one of the following
- Consent: With your full consent as laid down by NDPR for your personal data that require consent e.g., marketing purpose
- Performance of a contract: this includes activity necessary to enter into or perform a contract with the data subject
- legitimate Interest: This involves using of data for the purpose it’s collected for otherwise with full consent of the data subject
- Legal Requirement: If required by legal and governmental body for legal obligation and you might not necessarily be consented depending on the statement of law concerning the particular processing request
- Vital Interest: This is a rare processing activity that could be required to save someone’s life, most seen in emergency medical care situations.
- Public Interest: A processing activity that would occur by a government entity or an organization acting on behalf of a government entity.

Right to Rectification: Users can modify or change their name, email password, and mobile login PIN via their profile.

Please allow up to 30 days for requests to be processed. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee to process excessive or repeat requests.
